Why DC isn't leading its software category?
« on: August 26, 2008, 01:08:37 am »
Well, this is more a discussion thread about where efforts can be made to help DC getting on the top of its category.

IMO, there are 2 main weaknesses preventing DiskCryptor from being one of the leaders in disk encryption software as it could be.

1) The english support (forum, documentation, etc.) is very poor. This is quite easy to fix I think, and would enhance greatly DC's future (but takes time).

2) Correct me if I'm wrong, but AFAIK, there is only one developer in the project, which makes some occasional mistake more likely (and I'm not doubting about the dev skills, it's just that everybody's human after all). This second point might be harder to fix though...

My 2 cents.

What I think, is that DiskCryptor needs publicity, as there is hardly any of it. So anyone who is interested in helping the project, will make everyone a big favor by making quality publications about it, on highly-visited places of the internet.
