Backup image mounts but is inaccessible
« on: December 28, 2016, 02:18:35 pm »
So I messed up my system and restored a whole disk image from usb which was created with clonezilla using the rescue flag because of one bad sector in the partition that gives a problem now. After mounting the partition it's filesystem isn't recognized. Access freezes the file manager. Also the restored disk has free space at its end that shouldn't be there. I guess that's because of the rescue mode I used and maybe a difference between the structure of usb and hdd. I couldn't verify the backup because Windows only allows access to the first partition of usb devices. Is there any way to fix this?
